Character Name: Starfire (Birthname Koriand'r)
Series: Teen Titans (Cartoon Network version, excluding Teen Titans Go)
Timeframe: Post series but pre-Trouble in Tokyo (excluding Teen Titans Go)
Background: Starfire is an alien princess from the planet Tamaran, a planet of of powerful yet very peaceful humanoid aliens. When she was young, the planet was invaded by another alien species and conquered, and Starfire herself was picked up by slavers. She managed to break free near Earth and escaped to Jump City, where she met the Teen Titans, though they were not a team yet. They helped her fight off the slavers and the five of them established the Teen Titans shortly after. Since then, she and the Titans have been fighting crime from supervillains to small time lackeys, and have become a very close knit group.
Personality: The Tamaraneans are a highly emotional race, in part due to their biology, and Starfire is no exception. She is exceptionally kind but also extremely sensitive. She takes friendship especially seriously and would do anything for people she considers her friends--and you only have to have one positive interaction with her for her to consider you one. She is extremely social and thrives on interacting with others. She doesn't know what to do with herself when she is alone, and so she constantly seeks out the company of others, regardless of how antisocial they might be. On the flip side, when her friends fight with each other, she quickly becomes visibly distressed and does everything she can to smooth over the situation. When they fight with her or upset her, on the other hand, she becomes indignant and immediately assumes the relationship is not important to the other friend. Usually, though, a sincere apology is all she needs to make up with someone.
Starfire loves to learn about the interests and hobbies of others and will usually adopt said hobbies in order to spend more time with the person. She tends to be rather naive and awkward, due to not understanding the customs of planets other than Tamaran. In spite of this, she is very perceptive of the people around her and their motivations, and is willing to tell her friends when she thinks they are being dishonest with themselves or others. She tries to see the best in people whenever possible, but if you cross her friends, you are dead to her.
Appearance: Starfire is humanoid, though her skin is distinctly more orange than the average human's and she is a little taller than most teenaged girls her age. Her sclera are also a pale green color, as opposed to the usual white. Beyond that, she is functionally humanoid at a glance. (She does, however, have several internal differences, such as having nine stomachs.)

Abilities: Starfire's powers are controlled by her emotions, and on the Black Tide, she must feel said emotions with much more intensity than usual to get a reaction. Seeing as the emotions required for her powers are usually fairly intense, this effectively neuters her powers, even making some impossible for her to use outside of the most dire circumstances. Even then, they are about half as powerful as usual.
Normally, Starfire has strength which dwarves that of even the strongest humans and can project energy from her hands and eyes. In plainer speech, she shoots lasers. She can also fly!
Nerfed!Starfire has the approximate strength of a human bodybuilder and is trained in hand to hand combat. She can still fly, but for much shorter distances. Her ability to fly is based on her happiness, and due to being separated from her friends and the boat's general atmosphere, her flying abilities are likely to be dampened or nonexistant until she acclimates. Even after, she can only fly as fast as she could run on the ground (as opposed to her usual near light-speed) and she tires easily.
Her eye lasers and Starbolts are powered by righteous fury, and on the boat, she must be much more intensely angered than normal to use these powers to any effect. When at her in-universe "righteous fury" threshold, her eyes glow and hands crackle with green energy, though this effect is more or less cosmetic in nature and she cannot use it to any effect in combat.
Starfire also has the ability to learn languages through lip contact with other species. Normally the effect is instantaneous, but on the boat, it requires a few seconds to take effect.
Items: Starfire will have nothing but the clothes on her back and a (non-functioning) communicator which she normally uses to communicate with the Titans.

[A voice squeaks onto the comm, confused and pleading. There are footsteps, the sound of rustling paper.]
Who has brought me here? What is a "Golden Shore"? Why do we appear to be going there?
[More footsteps, then a SCREECH, a door slam, and a distinct THUMP. Starfire has fallen on her rear, having jumped at seeing the skulls and attempted to fly back from them. This attempt failed. Of course, this cannot be seen.]
W-why is my bathroom made of heads?! And why can I not use my starbolts or fly?!
[A pause.]
I would like to go home now, please!
